AP Goyal Shimla University in Shimla has numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the stream of arts, science, commerce, engineering, education. The requirement of passing 12th standard marks also differ by departments where for the BTech programs like CSE/IT/ECE the candidate must have studied Physics, Maths, Chemistry and have obtained 50% marks in 12th standard. For Medical and Architecture programs, the minimum 50% cut-off is in PCB/PCM. BA/BCom calls for 12 th pass in any field, BEd demands 50 % in graduation. University provides admission facilities based on score achieved in various examinations such as JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, and NEET.
The University offers various degrees such as BTech, MTech, BSc, MSc, BCom, MCom, BA, MA, BCA, MCA and other courses including BEd, MED, MBBS, BDS, BArch. The admission process begins in Jan every year in which one has to apply either online or offline by submitting the form. University entrance test is conducted if required, then a brief counseling for the students for their seating arrangements and documents verification.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. ID proofs including the Aadhaar card, driving license or passport for the identity verification task.
2. Original documents of the 10th and 12th standard to confirm the eligibility and Passing certificates for the qualification.
3. For candidates applying for post graduation education, they should produce their graduation degree marks sheets and certificates.
4. Last recent passport size photographs to attach on the admission forms and records of the college after joining.
5. A transfer certificate from the last school, college or university for joining higher classes for further continuation of education.
6. Income certificate of the family or category certificate like SC/ST/OBC issued by concerned government authority in case of applying for admission under special categories.

1. Eligibility requirements - Ensure that you have the requisite percentage in class 12 or graduation to secure your admission in BCA.

1. Subjects taken and marks scored in 10+2 exams should meet the cut-offs of the institute are also other eligibility criteria.
