Assam Down Town University (ADTU) is a campus style private University situated in Guwahati, the largest city of Assam. ADTU was inaugurated in 2010 and is categorized and accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated by the Government of Assam. It is affiliated to the university campus which has got NAAC Grade A certificate proving that it offers high quality education. According to the NIRF rankings of 2023, ADTU stands in the rank of 101-150 in the entire country for universities.
ADTU provides Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate programs in the stream of Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, Laws and many more. The university has semester exams in November and April for each academic year as mentioned above. For the UG and PG courses, the admission is through merit based on the performance in the national or state level entrance examination. The admission exercise is normally carried out in May while the academic year starts in August. There are also university grants for merit as awarded by the university.
