Bikaner Technical University (BTU) is one of the new generation universities which are state funded university situated in Bikaner, Rajathan. This university was set up in the year 2006 and is recognised by the University Grants Commission and affiliated to AICTE. NAAC has re accredited the institution with a B++ grade in the year 2020. In the NIRF Rankings 2023 the position of BTU in the ranking among engineering colleges in India is between 151-200.

The session of 2022 saw the splendid campus placement record of Bikaner Technical University. The employers were on average satisfied with the performance of student offered jobs as over 85% of the student who made themselves eligible were offered jobs by the leading companies. Tata consultancy services TCS was the organization that recruited the maximum number of students which was 112 students with a median salary offer of Rs. 6,20,000/- and the maximum salary of Rs. 8,00,000/-. Some other major recruiting firms were Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and L&T Infotech, which hired between 45 to 85 candidates each.
