State university named Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith is situated in the Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It provides numbers of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in arts, science, commerce, Law, Education and Computer Applications etc. The admission requirements for these programs differs from one department to the other and by the course to be undertaken. For the three general courses, namely, BA, BSc, and BCom, the candidate must be a class 12th pass in the respective stream with at least 50% aggregate marks. To apply, go to the homepage, choose the ‘Admission’ link and then the course the user wants to undertake. The online application form has to be completed to the last detail and such documents as passport scan, passport scan of the spouse, and photos have to be uploaded. Teach them how to pay the application fee online. You can also take a print out of the form in case you might need it for any further reference or use in the future.
Documents Required for Admission in MGKVP Varanasi for Different Courses:
- It is necessary to note that the admissions are generally merit-based with reference to the qualifying examination or 12th boards.
- In addition to the entrance exams, there could be other tests that the university conducts for certain programs the candidates need to undertake.

MGKVP Varanasi Ph.D Selection Criteria
1. This means that candidates will have to sit for a university level written entrance test as one of the requirements. The candidates are selected for the interview process based on the marks they have secured in the entrance test.
2. The candidate is needed to present and explain the research plan during the interview with the committee. The general knowledge and subject knowledge of the candidate is tested but the research ability of the candidate can also be assessed through the interview.
3. The last is the selection criteria, which is arrived at by combining the entrance test, interview and the research proposal. It is followed by the ranking of the candidates on the merit of the total marks obtained in the qualifying examination and offer of admission against the number of seats available in each subject/department for Ph.D.
4. Certain categories of students such as OBC, SC/ST etc get a relaxation in terms of marks scored in the entrance exam. However, one must remember that the evaluation of an interview does not differ from one category to the other.

6. Sit any written examination and interviews that may be set for the purpose of admission. The process of selecting students from different institutions is carried out with the help of the previous academic achievements, presentation of the research proposal, as well as their success in the tests and/or interviews.
