BITSAT Exam 2024: Exam Date, Eligibility, Exam Pattern

BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is an examination that BITS Pilani conducts to admit students into many undergraduate engineering and combined science courses offered at its campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. In this test, students are examined on physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology, English proficiency and mental ability. It is one of the most sought-after competitive exams in the country with an annual participation of around 2.5 lakhs candidate.

The seats for BITSAT 2024 could be allotted in May-end, i.e. probably in the second half of May 2024. It is a 3 hours test comprising objective questions in multiple choice as well as numeric answer type formats. It is a computer-based assessment to be carried out online. Based on their BITSAT marks and selected streams, students in the preferences lists will be given admissions in different degree programs in BITS campuses. The release of the admission announcement and results is usually by middle of the month of June. To enter the race, the minimum overall marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the 12th board exams are 75%. In all likelihood, the BITSAT 2024 Application dept will start in early to mid- January 2024.

How to Apply for BITSAT Exam 2024?

1. Registration: Go to the official BITSAT web site and course your registration with your email id and phone number. It is in the password you will be able to log in.

2. Fill Application Form: Log in and fill by specifying your personal details carefully in the online BITSAT form. Give personal information such as name, marks and desirable subjects.

3. Upload Documents: Provide the electronic enclosures of your photograph and signature duly signed as per the required 10th and 12th standard mark sheets.

4. Pay Application Fee: Pay BITSAT registration cost via digital payment using net-banking/debit card/UPI. The price of the two men and women candidates is 7000/- in total. For male the fee is 3400 rupees and for females is 2900 rupees.

5. Print Confirmation Page: Preview marked the filled form and print the correct confirmation page at the end of submission. This page is identical as earlier with your application number that will be a must for the following.

6. Book Test Slot: After allotting the test by you, choose your preferred test date, time slot and exam center based on your schedule. 

7. Admit Card: Download an admit card of your BITSAT exam from the website prior to the date of the exam with the application number and password.

Documents Required for Apply BITSAT Exam 2024

1. 10th Standard Mark Sheet: The photocopy print of your class 10 marksheet is taken as a document for the purpose of verification of date of birth.

2. 12th Standard Mark Sheet: Scan of your 12th standard marksheet, scan if your 12th standard result has been declared.

3. Admit Card: A grayscale version of an image proof of identity, say, the Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license, etc. to be provided during the test. The original of the same must have been carried to the exam.

4. Passport Size Photo: An individual s recent passport size colored scanned photo, which will be uploaded (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm). 

5. Application Fee Payment Proof: Document that needs to be shown indicating the payment of fee which can be through net banking, debit/credit card and others.
