Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test (IIT-JAM) is a national-wide qualification examination for undergraduate courses. This examination is organized every year by the IITs under rotation. It is considered for admitting participants to diverse post graduate courses run in IITs and all centrally funded technical institutes including NITs, IIEST, IISc Bangalore, and IISERs. This exam is meant to test the candidates’ grasp on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and other Science subjects through their ability to reason, understand and connect the concepts.
IIT-JAM 2024 will be happening on 12th February, 2023 at 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM (local time) in two different sessions. The proclamation of the final scores of this exam is scheduled in March 2023. Contents of the academics session 2025-26 will be initiated after the results have been announced. The test will be computer based and will sequentially take place across India covering many cities. Mostly, about 1 lakh students and aspirants appear for the exam per year. The selection is done through conducting the exam in which candidates are given two hours to complete which tests the candidates on their bachelor’s level science aptitude and conceptual knowledge. The minimum requirement for appearing the IIT JAM is a post-secondary degree in science or an equivalent qualifying degree with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent CGPA.

1. Registration: Go to the official website and click on the registration button which you can see on top of the webpage. Complete specific spaces that require your name, email and mobile number to create login credentials.
2. Fill Application Form: Enter your login credentials and once done you are there to fill the online application form. Inform in full the required details regarding your personal info, the educational institution you took the exam in, and so on.
3. Upload Documents: Submit the scan copy of your photograph, signature, category certificate (required cases), etc. according to the specification.
4. Pay Application Fee: Instruction for offline application payment can be accessed from the official website and applicants can do the payment online using credit/debit card, net banking or UPI. The scheme/process are detailed on the website.
5. Review and Submit: Go through the entire JAM 2024 application form carefully twice before you hit the submit button. Make corrections if any.
6. Download Confirmation: Download, save and print out the submission form in the end and receipt as well. Finally make the payment.
7. Admit Card: Prepare for JAM IIT 2024 by obtaining your admission card through the official website following the schedule. Take a printed copy of it and get it at the exam centre.

1. The first step here is to create a study plan and stick to it. Structure your study practice during the months and weeks preceding the date of the test. Design a concrete timeline for studies and tests so that you can stay focused on your target.
2. Well, take the time and know the exam pattern, syllabus, topics weightage, and types of questions that are being asked clearly. Thus, it will save you time and effort as you spend only time for the subjects you really need to brush up on.
3. Try to learn from the best quality sources for your preferred subject and use it as a guide. Refer to the old questions and specimens which are available for previous years.
4. Devise annotations, primarily of the formulas, laws, definitions, etc., review them often. Notes recorded in your own words facilitate retaining the information.
5. The past examination questions are extremely helpful. Try as many problems as you can from the earlier years' papers. Remove your concentration on the last minute and start taking mock tests to determine how much you have developed and identify your weaknesses. Adapting to the mode of question and of the examination pretty much is necessary.
