NEET Exam 2024: Admit Card, Exam Date, Result

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national level medical entrance examination hosted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for the purpose of admitting MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other medical/paramedical courses in India. It was introduced in 2017 and NEET is now the only test of this pattern to qualify for all public and private medical colleges in India. 

The NEET exam is multiple choice consists of 180 questions from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) The exam is paper based and is conducted in 11 rates. NEET scores are used for both Indian as well as overseas colleges on medical admission.

NEET 2024 test is tentatively planned to be held on May 7, 2023 offline. Application process is scheduled to kick-off from February, 2023. The specific date of NEET 2024 is not officially announced as of yet but it falls on the first weekend of May. The exam shall be taking different venues of examination centers spread all across India. For NEET results, a month after the exam is usually the deadline. Students need 50th percentile score to make into NEET. Difficulty of the course, number of applicants and seats availability in each college are the few factors that determine the cutoff scores.

How to Apply for NEET Exam 2024?

1. Registration & Application Form

- The NEET registration portal opens on a particular date. Hence, go to their website immediately after the window opens. Typically, the candidate website is released in December for the following year's exam.

- On the first step, you need to register by providing your information: personal info, contacts, academic info and others.

- Complete and upload the NEET application form and documents you have and pay the fees online.

2. Documents Needed

- You would be asked to scan copies of your passport photograph, signature, 10th class certificate for the purpose of the proof of age, address proof, and so on while filing the form.

3. Application Fees 

- NEET examination fees for the general category comes to approximately Rs 1500 for one. The admission of applicants who are late will result in extra charges. Select one of the payment options: debit/credit card, net banking, UPI.

4. City Choice 

- Once you click on the form, you will have to choose the specific city where you are going to sit for the exam. The decisive moment is silent and key choices once made can’t be fixed when there is no more time.

5. Acknowledgement 

- Attend to the confirmation page which will be automatically downloaded once you submit the application correctly.

6. Admit Card

- Applicants will be able to download the NEET admit card a few weeks before the examination through online portal only. As you have to take it with you to the examination hall all by yourself.

Documents Required for Apply NEET Exam 2024

1. The scan of the passport size photograph has to be sent.

2. Signed copy by scanned method.

3. Attached 10th and 12th class mark sheets are scanned copies. 

4. Scanned copy of the only proof of your identity (Aadhar card/PAN card/driving license).

5. The scanned copy of the casted certificate (if this is the case ).

6. A photocopy of the disability certificate (if available).

7. The citizenship certificate scanned copy (If applicable).

8. If desired, please submit the scanned versions of the BS Destination Materials (if any).

9. Duplicate/Photocopy of class 12 certificate with quota mention (if required for NRI quota, Defense quota etc).

10. For this, either you need your Debit/Credit card or Net Banking or UPI details so that you can pay your application fee.
