Karnataka Common Entrance Test

The KCET 2024 results were declared by the conducting body that is KEA on 5 August 2024 on the official website. This year about 2.5 lakh students have taken up the state-level entrance exam to secure their admission in professional courses offered by colleges under Karnataka. 

The exam was held in the pen and paper-based mode with the help of 500+ centres in Karnataka. The overall pass percentage this year was at 98.25%, with the girls once again beating the boys. Significantly, all the positions of top 10 ranks were captured by female candidates indicating excellent academic performance for female candidates. A total of 65.5% candidates could be considered as eligible for further counseling and seat allotment procedure out of total candidates.

1. Check KCET Result 2024 at official KCET website declared.

2. On the homepage: click on KCET result link. 

3. Application number and date of birth must be entered as log‐in details.

4. Please click on submit button below to view result.

5. Rank on the basis of total marks scored by the students along with subject wise and total marks will be generated.

6. Copy PDF file for further use and take print-out.

1. Candidate name and application number: The output will show the candidate’s name as per the application form and the application number will also be generated and is unique for the candidate.

2. Marks obtained in each subject: It will show separate marks scored out of maximum marks for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology. 

3. Total marks and percentile score: The resulting figure will display total marks secured after summation of all subject marks and the overall percentile of the candidate.

4. Rank obtained: Using marks and percentile and other related information state level rank, category rank and other possible ranks the candidate will be appearing for will be displayed.

5. Qualifying status: If the candidate has qualified for counseling or not will be clearly stated according to cutoff marks and ranks in different categories. More information might be displayed on the basis of a closer look at the applicant.

Documents Required For Check KCET Result 2024

1. Hall ticket number: The hall ticket number is printed on the admit card that is collected at the time of exam Al this number is needed while checking the result online. This number differs for each of the candidates.

2. Date of birth: As mentioned by the candidates at the time of filling application form need to be entered to check result once it is announced on the official website. It is crucial that they enter correct date of birth.  

3. Phone number: The registered phone number can also be used for the application if the applicant has given the number while applying for the result portal login. It should go hand in hand with the application that you will be submitting.

4. Application number: Each candidate has specific application number generated after successful submission of the application form. Check marks should be taken care of for being important for logging in.

What is KCET Exam?

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance examination conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for providing admission in various degree courses such as undergraduate and post graduate professional degree courses in the state of Karnataka in India. Notable major courses include engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, veterinary sciences, and medicine (MBBS/BDS).

The KCET exam is usually conducted in each year in the month of April or May. It includes multiple choice questions from physics and chemistry and math (and biology- for some programs). Test takers need to answer 30-120 items within a time frame of 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the content and level of study chosen. The exam is held in pen and paper format at the specified test centers within Karnataka and other leading cities and towns of India.
