Exam Date for JEE Advanced 2024: Eligibility, and Important Dates

JEE Advanced is one among the most challenging examinations in India organised by the seven IITs on a rotational basis every year. It is the second part of the Joint Entrance Examination Main to offer admissions to the UG engineering and architecture courses in all the IITs along with some other reputed institutes. The physics, chemistry and mathematics is tested with the format having two papers each of the duration of three hours, which is termed as paper 1 and paper 2 respectively. 

The official JEE Advanced 2024 exam dates are likely to be released by IIT Guwahati, the organizing professor of JEE Advanced 2024, in March 2024. The students must pass the JEE Mains and get a rank in the first two fifty thousand to be eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced. The detailed procedure of admission to Advanced will be initiated by the Institute after declaration of JEE Mains results, typically around last week of April 2024. Some of the documents which will be necessary for the exam are admit card, passport sized photographs, proof of identification, and others which will be unfolded in the information brochure that will be issued along with the application form.

JEE Advanced Exam Eligibility 2024

1. The candidate should have secured a place among the 2,50,000 top successful candidates irrespective of his category for B.E./B.Tech. A newspaper of JEE (Main) 2024. 

2. Applicant must have been born after the 1st of October in the year 1999. 

3. Candidate should have completed 12 years of schooling with Mathematics, Physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects. 

4. SC/ST/PWD candidates should be amongst top 2,50,000(Open as well as SC/ST & PwD) candidates who have been declared successful in BE/B.Tech. Paper of JEE (Main). 

5. Candidate should be passing 12th (or equivalent) examination for the first time in year 2023 or 2024, and should have appeared in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

6. The candidate should have NOT joined any Institution in India or abroad for a degree course.

How to Apply for JEE Advanced Exam 2024?

1. Check your qualifying criteria –JEE Main qualifiers only; make sure that you hare within the top 2.5 lakh rank holders.

2. Online registration – Persons required to register themselves can visit the official website of the scheme and register by filling in details such as name, date of birth, etc. 

3. Attach documents - Attach scanned copies of photograph, signature, class 10 certificate etc. strictly as per mentioned requirements.

4. Submit application fees – Candidates are required to pay the application fee online through credit card, debit card or net banking facility etc. The amount of fee is Rs. 2800/- for the male candidates.

5. Select preferred exam center cities – This required students to select their three most preferred exam center city options from the given list. Centers are assigned based on the first sign-up, first served technique.

6. Confirmation – The final document that a person gets is the confirmation which has the application number and other information, take the print out of the same.

7. Admit card – Get admit cards printed online according to the below timetable before the date of the examination. Aspirants must carry a printed admit card to the examination center.
