Eligibility:
- Any Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject (Science) with 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
Documents Required:
- Transfer certificates/ 10th and 12th mark sheets.
- Bachelor's degree certificates
- Transcripts of marks – Bachelor’s degree.
- Migration certificate
- Caste certificate (if applicable to the applicant) .
- Gap affidavit (if applicable) / Affidavit of the gap (if applicable).
- Aadhar card copy
- 2 recent passport size photograph.
Admission Process:
- University sends a declaration of opening the admissions for M.Sc through the website.
- Aspirants have to submit the form either online or offline within the stipulated time.
- Shortlisting of applicants takes place based on the eligibility criteria and relevant qualifications as well as performance in entrance exams (where applicable).
- Candidates remaining in the merit list for the respective category have to report for counseling as per schedule.
- The candidate is selected if they meet all the qualifications and they provide all the necessary documents.
- This confirms admission after paying admission fees.
- It admits students on merit with a specified intake for each academic year. The candidates are usually shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam conducted by the university and/or the marks that they have secured in the qualifying examination.
- For most M.Sc. bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with the required percentage of marks in the bachelor’s degree for the respective program and specialization offered among the programs.
- Certain programs may also have other specific eligibility criteria based on subjects studied at the bachelor’s level or through the candidate’s score in entrance exam like CET, GATE, etc.
- In accordance with the rules of the Maharashtra State Government there is minimum eligibility criteria with regard to reservation and relaxation for the candidates coming under the reserved categories.
- The final choice rests upon the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam &/or the aggregate of marks obtained in the qualifying exam, GD &/or PI in a few instances.
- Although the university has provided some general eligibility criteria for the admission in the post graduate masters level programs but the selection process in each department or school of the university may vary in terms of minimum qualification marks, entrance procedure and merit cut-offs.
1. Some institutes also have certain eligibility criteria for the M.Sc program that a student wishes to apply for. The qualifications are usually a relevant bachelor’s degree in combination with minimum percentage required.
2. Application can be made through the university’s admission website or the application form can be collected from the university admission center or department. The forms may be availed before the admission period.
3. Ensure that the application form is filled in properly and all the required documents need to be submitted as per the checklist. This generally comprises of degree/mark sheet certificates, proof of identity, picture etc.
4. Finally, pay the application fees, if any, either online or through a demand draft. Please attach a receipt of the fee payment together with the application.
5. Documents to be submitted – The filled application form along with the documents before the admission deadline either online or in-person to the university admission office. Maintain a duplicate/copy of acknowledgment receipt for future references.
6. Keep checking the admission portal/university website and emails for any additional tests/interviews that may be organized for the admission process as well as admission decisions.
7. Complete the admission process: Submit any remaining documents, fees, and secure Admission by the due date as mentioned in Admission Letter/Notice.
