DAV College Abohar has a plethora of courses for students at the undergraduate and postgraduate level under arts, science, commerce, computer application and vocational stream. The eligibility also has the differences with one department to another. For the admission into the BA, BSc, & BCom program the candidate should clear the 12th in the relevant stream with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized board. The eligibility criteria for BCA is Matriculation or 12th pass in any stream with maths/computer science with 50% marks. The college admits students on the basis of their scores in national /state level entrance tests such as JEE Mains, CLAT, CAT, MAT, CUCET etc. besides class XII marks.
The major courses are BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, MA, MSc, MCom, MCA, BEd and vocational courses such as Travel 8 Tourism, Interior Design etc The entrance exam for UG and PG programs are held between May to July at the National/ State Level. Information regarding the detailed procedure of applying for the stream, along with the requirements and dates of the exams for the academic year 2024 will be updated on the college’s website by December 2023. The process is based on entrance test results and counseling in accordance with the results of the test. Admission to most desired program at DAV College Abohar is quite competitive and it’s advisable to apply for early admission to secure a seat.
