Kamala Institute of Technology & Science is an engineering college situated in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh and offers different undergraduate and post graduate programs in engineering, management, sciences, humanities etc. Currently, the institution offers the following BTech programs: Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and communications, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical engineering, and Civil engineering. The admission criteria of the BTech course involve passing the 12th board examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the main subjects, where the minimum percentage is 60%. KITS gives importance to National level entrance test like JEE Mains, TS EAMCET, AP EAMCET etc, in addition to its own test.
The MTech, MCA and MBA are specialized fields lying within the major course branches that have been designed to meet the current changes and trends. The basic entry requirement is the Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and the minimum percentage scores for the degree programs are between 50%- 60%. KITS also conducts its own entrance test Kruti every year in the months of May and June at several test centers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Currently, the application process for the admissions in the academic year 2024 is scheduled to start in December 2023 at the institute’s web page. The authorities have said that registration forms can be filled till April 2024 with requisite fee. Student selection will be done in accordance with the scores obtained in the entrance tests and academic achievements. End of counseling and admission procedures takes place in the months of June-July once the KITS result of the entrance examination is declared in the admission office situated in the main campus of the organization. The academic session starts from august every year.
