KIT focuses on the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a variety of fields of engineering such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and many others. The admission process for the next academic year, starting in January 2024, is expected to start in May 2023. The applicants will need to write MHT-CET or JEE Mains in order to gain entry into the engineering colleges, then they will need to go through college level counselling and document verification for giving them provisional admission. The final entries will be made by the beginning of the new academic year in the August of the year 2024. The semester examination is held at the end of November and April of every year.
KIT has consistently been an excellent performer in the recruitment sector with TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, L&T, Mahindra, Bajaj Auto and many more recruiters visiting the campus every year. In the regard of placements, the 2023 batch of the college, aspiring for jobs, has over 85% of its eligible students placed at reputed companies offering them packages ranging from Rs. 5 lakhs to Rs. 25 lakhs per annum. The maximum offer this year came from Microsoft at Rs. 320000 per annum. Placement salary at IIM Udaipur is Rs. 8.6 Lakhs per annum on average and median salary of the students is Rs. 7 Lakhs per annum. Maximum KIT graduates this year have been hired in software development, mechanical engineering, automobile, civil & construction.
