L.D. College of Engineering (LDCE), Ahmedabad was established in 1948 and come under the Gujarat University but at present affiliated to Gujarat Technological University. It has undergraduate engineering programs of study and can be ranked according to the following criteria. It is important to note that B.Tech admission eligibility allows only those candidates who pass 12th or equivalent with compulsory subjects: Physics and Mathematics. For Computer Science department one must secure 50% in the aggregate of the 12th examinations. The entry is open either through state or national entrance tests such as GUJCET, JEE Mains . For Electronics and Communication department Physics, Chemistry and Maths of 12th standard with minimum passing 55%. The Mechanical Engineering department takes students for JEE Mains and GUJCET. Civil engineering also has the same conditions as Mechanical stream for admission process. There are more streams in LDCE and these are Electrical, Chemical and Information Technology but it has its own required eligibility set by the said University.
The major Under Graduate courses offered at LDCE include B.Tech Computer Science, Electronics and communication, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Electrical Engineering as well as 5-year Integrated M.Tech.
L.D. College of Engineering Ahmedabad has both online and offline procedure of obtaining the application forms for admission. Eligible students interested in joining the college to pursue the B.Tech courses can apply through online mode via the official college website: www.ldce.ac.in or through the offline mode by collecting the prospectus and application form from the college admission office. Students applying online have to first get themselves registered on the website by entering details like name, date of birth, email id, phone number etc. After that students have to fill a form after which they have to upload documents like class 12th passing certificate, school leaving certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), scanned photograph and signature.
