M.T.B. Arts College is located at Surat in the state of Gujarat which is offering the Arts, commerce, Computer Application, mass media, performing art, and physical education stream for the under graduation program. Eligibility criteria are divided based on streams like for Bachelor of Arts (BA) candidate must pass 12th in any group, for Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) candidate must pass 12th commerce, for Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) candidate must pass 12th science, and for Mass communication candidate should have 50% in 12th standard. The courses allow students to qualify exams such as CBSE, Gujarat Board, ICSE and the like to gain admission. There is also provision to take admission through NATA scores for Fine Arts, through somatic tests for Performing Arts and Physical trials for physical Education.
UG programs of the college include a wide variation across disciplines. The Arts courses include such programmes as BA in English Literature, Economics, Psychology, Sociology among others. For Commerce there is Bachelor of Commerce- General and Bachelor of Commerce-Professional. Other programs include BCA, Bachelor of Mass Communication, BA Performing Arts, Dance & Music, Bachelor of Physical Education, BA Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Design. The admission process is initiated in May every year, where one needs to complete an on-line application form and choose the program/specialization. Candidates willing to apply for SGTs have to fulfill certain conditions and they must secure their positions in the merit list prepared by the authorities based on their 12th board examination marks and performance in the concerned entrance test if any. The preliminary schedule suggests the admission test and counselling to be held in the 3rd week of June and the 2nd week of July of the year 2024. Classes start at the latest by the end of the first week of August, f the admission procedures have been finalized before the deadline.
