Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is an engineering college for providing education in technology in New Delhi in India. It was set up in 2001 and is located at Mehrauli; it is an affiliate of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education. The college is NAAC accredited grade ‘A’ and the acronym MSIT stands for the Mutharasa Sisters International Trust. As per NIRF ranking 2023 released recently, MSIT has ranked at 101 among engineering colleges in India.
IIT has four years B.Tech programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical & Automation Engineering and Information Technology. The admission process for the batch of 2024 will begin in April 2023 as well. The B.Tech programmes offered at MSIT are offered based on the candidate’s performance in the JEE Main examination. Another pathway available in the institute is the direct entry into the 2nd year of the program for diploma holders. As a general rule, the semester tests are held in December and May of each calendar year.
Placement is another great strength of MSIT with various reputed organizations like Amazon, flipkart, Paytm, Goldman, Sachs, Trident Group, Wipro, etc visiting our campus every year for recruitment. The maximum campus placement salary offered was of 39 LPA and the average campus placement salary was of 7 LPA for the 2022 batch of pass outs. The highest number of students got placed in MNCs and IT sectors through campus placements and 86% of the students got placed. Some of the major recruiters of B.Tech holders in software engineering include Capgemini, Infosys, LG Soft India and Tech Mahindra, among others. The year-wise placements indicate that MSIT has been providing its students a quality technical education to be placed in reputed organizations.

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. The candidates are required to have passed 10+2 or equivalent level in PCM with minimum of 60% aggregate marks and must have secured valid scores in JEE Mains exam for being considered for BTech programs.
2. For admission in MTech programs candidates should produced their BTech/BE original certificate in relevant branch with minimum 60% marks from recognized university. Furthermore, preference is first accorded to those who have made it through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE.
3. MCA program prerequisite of the candidates has a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics in the 10+2 level or graduation. Candidates also have to write NIMCET Besides that, there are other exam requirements that candidates should know.
4. For MBA admission, the candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution scoring at least 50% marks. As for the eligibility criteria, it is mandatory to have a valid CAT/MAT score and the scores to be above the cut off as considered by the institute.
5. In case of the BBA program, students who have passed the 10+2 examination from any stream of education with minimum 50 % marks are eligible for admission. There are no restrictions as to whom the students can be, whether they belong to a particular social class or not.
