Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC),New Delhi is one of the most popular medical colleges under University of Delhi. It provides medical courses such as MBBS, MD, MS, MDS, DM, M.Ch and Ph.D through to various departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Radiodiagnosis, Anesthesiology, Dentistry etc The eligibility Accepted exams are NEET-UG. For postgraduate medical courses like MD/MS, the eligibility for admission is MBBS degree with at least 55 % marks in it and clearing of NEET-PG. mDS course is implemented through BDS degree and NEET-MDS examination. DM/M.Ch requires MD/MS in the relevant specialization MD/MS in the relevant specialization. Ph.D allows postgraduate medical degree with a pass class and minimum 55% marks.
These are the different medical courses taught at the MAMC: Undergraduate, postgraduate, master of dental surgery, doctor of medicine, doctor of surgery, Doctorate of Medicine/Masters in Medicine. As such, some of the vital exams include NEET-UG for MBBS, NEET-PG for MD/MS and NEET-MDS for MDS in the following dates: NEET-UG (May 2023), NEET-PG (January 2024), and NEET-MDS (January 2024) respectively. It is based on the national level entrance exams to qualify, online registration at www.mcc.nic.in, filling the choices and attending on line counselling as per merit and seat matrix. Admission session begins from May 2024 for MBBS, from July 2024 for MD/MS & MDS. Ph.D admissions are conducted every semester or twice a year.
