RVR and JC College of Engineering situated in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh offers a variety of engineering branches such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Civil Engineering etc. They may differ slightly from department to department but typically, they would expect an Intermediate passed in MPC for Computer Science, IT and ECE branches with at least a 50% aggregate. For Electrical, Mechanical and Civil engineering disciplines, MPC or BiPC background having 50% marks only will be considered. Recognized qualifying examinations include Intermediate, AP/Telangana State EAMCET, JEE Main and any other entrance test conducted by any state of India.
The college admits students to the B.Tech programs such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. It also runs M.Tech programs in several specializations. Some of the important entrance test to get into B.Tech are AP EAMCET conducted in May 2023 while JEE Main held in Jan and April 2023. The registration for AP EAMCET is normally held in February while the JEE Main registration is conducted in November. The selection is done by counseling in accordance with the entrance examination result as well as class 12th marks. In order to get into these colleges one needs to register for these entrance tests, attend counseling sessions as per scheduled and select a branch based on the rank obtained, pay fees and complete all formalities as per the allotment. As for the main periods of the year, the academic year usually starts in August/September.

In the online application form, select your preferred course of study, which is the BTech/MTech, and provide all the required information accurately. To apply for any of the colleges offline, you need to first go to the college admission office and get the application form. It has to be filled in a proper manner and it is mandatory to attach all the documents that are submitted as true copies. After completing the application form, candidates are required to attach Demand Draft for application fees and submit the same to the Office. Candidates typically submit their applications in general during the period of April – June each year. It’s an entry level test with entrance exams like JEE Main, AP-EAMCET etc, in addition to the 12thstandard scores. Phone or visit the college office for any other admission related issues.
- Admission is given strictly according to the ranks scored in the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET). This is a state-level entrance test and students who wish to seek admission in these engineering colleges have to write this examination.
- The last 25% of the seats are filled depending on the ranks achieved in AP EAMCET and the marks scored in the qualifying exam, which is either the Intermediate or 12th standard.
- Concerning admission, learners must go through the counselling process organized by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Seat allocation takes place based on the ranks obtained by the students, category, region, etc in the EAMCET.
- The college imparts B.Tech programs in streams such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Science and more.
- There are special provisions for numbered categories such as OC, BC, SC, ST. The counselling is done based on the ranks obtained in the EAMCET examination and by classifying them into these categories.
1. Look for the admission notice to B.Tech course in the college website or billboards at the newspaper. Applications typically occur in May or June.
2. To apply please follow the application link with the given link and please fill up the online application form very carefully. It is almost like providing basic details such as personal information, academic performance, contact information etc.
3. Make the payment for the application fees online as well. It ranges from Rs 500 for application fees to several thousand for the tuition fee. Pay the remaining amount to complete the form and finalize the process.
4. Click and fill the completed application form with the application number, and then print the form.
5. Other documents required are 10th and 12th mark sheets, birth certificate and photos etc as may be required according to the instructions.
6. If you satisfy the eligibility criteria, you will be invited for counseling and documenting processes. Go for counseling as and when the counselor has set an appointment with you.
7. While undergoing counseling session there is form for the choice of branches which is to be filled and submitted as per rank, preferences and availability of seats.
