Senate of Serampore College (University) is a university under section 2(f) & 12(B) of the U.G.C Act 1956 and is situated in the town of Serampore in the state of West Bengal. The university NAAC accreditation has graded it with B++ and it is ranked 90th in the recent NIRF 2023 ranking system. The Senate is also mandated to support theological education of its affiliated seminaries and admits students across the caste, creed and nationality divide.
The university provides a number of theological programmes depending on the specialisations of BD, MTh, MDiv, PhD and DD in its member institution.
