St. Xavier’s college Mumbai is a renowned institution which provides education in liberal arts, science and commerce faculties. As for the Arts faculty, the University provides the students with the opportunities to get the BA degree and study such subjects as Economics, English, History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. The entrance examination is open to all candidates who have completed their 10+2 bare minimum passing standard and have obtained not less than 50% in aggregate. The board accepts HSC, CBSE, ICSE, and NIOS examination boards. Science and Technology department provides the BSc degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology Life sciences and others. The eligibility requirement is 10+2 Science pass with a minimum of 50% for the general category. Accepted exams are same.
Streams offered by the Commerce department include BCom Accountancy, BCom Banking & Insurance, and BCom Financial Markets. The eligibility criteria are 10+2 Commerce stream pass with minimum 60% marks. The applicant must have completed any HSC, CBSE, ICSE, or NIOS exam to be considered. It also provides post graduate and PhD courses in various departments as well. It should be noted that there are different requirements for the eligibility of candidates for these courses, as well as the type of examinations that are recognized.

1. St. Xavier’s College Mumbai offers the following courses to the students as under graduate and post graduate level courses: BA, BSc, BCom, BMM, MSc and MCom. The admission process also varies between online and offline modes.
2. To fill up the online admission, go to the website www.xaviers.edu. It has a link and a detailed procedure on how to enroll to the online admission portal. To proceed with the application process one has to register for an account and fill up the admission form with the necessary information and documents.
3. As for the offline admission process, the aspirants are always required to procure the admission form from the college admission counter after paying the charges for the same. The filled up form should be handed over to the admission counter along with copies of relevant academic certificates and documents.
4. They are open and have a merit basis system by which the candidate is required to pass in the previous qualification examination. There are also admission tests or interviews that may be set for some courses.
5. Along with this, extra-academic achievements concerning the excellence in any co-curricular activity or performance in sports/cultural events also form part of the eligibility criteria.
