Advance Diploma in Anesthesia & Critical Care Technology is an auxiliary course in which students are trained to work under anesthesiologist and critical care specialists. This 2-year diploma program includes subjects such as anatomy and physiology, pharmacology and the use of anesthetic agents and equipment, intensive care, emergency procedures, etc Students receive a considerable amount of practice in operation theatres, intensive-care units, and emergency, in the course of their training in hospital. 

The criteria for admission into this course is very minimal: one is expected to have passed 10+2 science exams and have at least 50% pass mark. The institutes teaching this course accept one or more of the qualifying exams for admission including NEET or the state medical entrance exams such as MAH-B.Sc. Institute level exams such as Nursing CET, tests on biology, physics, chemistry and general knowledge and aptitude.

Diploma in Anesthesia & Critical Care Technology Course Eligibility 2024

1. Science Graduate pass in 10+2 examination in Science stream (Physics, chemistry, biology) with minimum 50% marks.

2. A candidate should have a BSc Degree in Medical Lab Technology/BSc Nursing/BDS or any other qualification as equivalent thereto as recognized by the Central/State Governments. 

3. The forgoing qualifications must be registered with Paramedical Council of the concerned state or Indian nursing Council or Dental Council of India.

4. The candidate should have at least one-year experience in managing patients in and preferably in ICU/ OT/ Casualty / Critical care units of a recognized hospital.

5. Qualified from merit in the qualifying exam and entrance test conducted by the institute.  

6. Age Limit: Minimum 17 years as on date of admission is required. It may differ from state regulation or decision regarding the admissions in the admitting institute.
