Advanced Certificate in Fire Fighting is a one-year, full time program that is career focused and offers both classroom knowledge and practice in all areas of fire safety and fighting. This eight-part course includes topics such as fire prevention, fire alarms and detectors, using extinguishers and hydrant systems, rescue operations and basic first aid. Students practice using the latest equipment, including the actual firefighting , wearing protective clothing during fire drills. Other activities that they are also trained includes adventure sports, swimming and physical fitness.
The minimum standard that one should posses in order to seek admission for ACC in Fire Fighting Course is the passing of the board examinations in Class XII in any stream with minimum 50 percent marks. They also give opportunities to those who have appeared in the UPTET, CTET or other state TET entrance exams. Moreover, physical fitness is also considered as one of the requirements; applicants shall either undertake and pass the physical efficiency test conducted by the center and training.

1. Should have completed the minimum 2 weeks fire fighting course from a recognized institute. This is the first requirement, which a candidate must meet in order to fill the advanced course application.
2. To take the advanced training, should have passed the Class 10 board exams for the standard protocol. Higher education qualifies too.
3. The eligibility criterion is that one should be of 18 years of age to pursue this professional course. Puppy mills and pet shops have no set age limit beyond which they cannot sell dogs.
4. The training entails several sessions, and therefore, only candidates who are in good health physical and mentally can engage in the training.
5. Any candidate of either gender who satisfies other conditions is free to vie for the admission for this specialized course.
6. As for job experience, any experience in fire services department, military, para military forces will be an added advantage for all the candidates.
