The Advanced Diploma in Banking and Insurance is a one-year diploma course that is designed to expose the students to the knowledge and principles that govern the banking and insurance industries. Some of the focal courses include; accounting, economics, banking operations, principles of insurance, financial management, marketing management. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the students get practical experience through the case studies, Projects and internships in banks, insurance companies and other financial organizations.
The least entry qualification is a 10+2 passed in any stream from a recognized board of education. Some of the institutes which accept the national level entrance exams are IBPS RRB, SSC CGL besides national level exams, many state level exams are also conducted by manipal academy of higher education and other private institute. The course develops numerous competencies enabling students to secure employment with banks, insurance companies, brokerage houses.

1. Intermediate pass in any group from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks.
2. The course is also open for any graduate regardless of the discipline that he or she majored in.
3. The application of the course is not pegged on age limit hence one is free to apply for the course at any age.
4. This is however not a requirement as the basic understanding of banking, finance and insurance concepts will do.
