BA Education is an undergraduate program that is geared towards the preparation of teachers. Generally, the duration of BA Education is 3 years, which include the subjects like educational psychology, teaching methods, classroom management, education technology, along with many arts subjects. Being a teachers training course, the subject offers a viable foundation in theory besides practice sessions in form of teaching internships in schools. Certain institutes also have a 4-year combined program for B.ED with a chosen subject area, which awards a Bachelors degree in Education and a Bachelors degree in Arts.
As for the admission to the Bachelor of Arts Education course, students need to pass entrance tests that can be university conducted exams or common national level tests. Certain colleges have the system of taking students based on the marks scored in the class XII too. The admission to the BA course begins in May every year when the notification about the sale of the forms and filling of the forms is also issued. These tests are normally conducted in July while the results are released in August for the year academic calendar that starts in September. Hence the May to September timeframe is crucial for all admission related activities for the BA in Education programs in various institutes.
