Islamic Studies or Bachelor of Arts (BA) is an undergraduate course that offers knowledge about the religion of Islam, its rituals, past, and related cultures. The program takes, normally, 3 years and is divided into 6 semesters. It encompasses Quran and Sunnah, Islamic beliefs, Islamic law, seerah and history of Islam, aqeedah, tasawwuf, Arabic, Islamic civilization including art and culture and Islamic philosophy. Students discover different meaning and various schools of Islamic thoughts while studying religious texts and relation of Islam with other world cultures.
Basic admission into BA Islamic Studies calls for at least a 10+2 or an equivalent examination qualification from an acknowledged board. Admission into many universities is done based on an entrance examination that tests students on general knowledge, languages, analytical ability and simple mathematics among other areas. Some of the other national level entrance exams accepted are PET, TISSNET, AMUEEE, BHU UET, JNUEE, DUET and SET.

1. The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination recognized by any state or national board of education with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
2. For students from other streams the basic to do is to take a bridge course in the relevant subjects may be needed.
3. It will be an added advantage if the candidate has a minimum understanding of the religion of Islam, the Quran, Hadiths and the Arabic language.
4. One needs to understand that basic communication and writing skills are relevant when working at the company.
5. Interested in religious studies with an analytical approach.
6. There is no age bar but minimum percentage requirements might be in place at graduation level for admission.
