Bachelor of Arts (BA) Political Science is an undergraduate academic degree that deals with political ideologies, relations of the globe, administration, policies and governments. This course takes three years, with each year having two semesters, making it a total of six semesters. Some of the courses offered include; Political theory, comparative politics, international relations and diplomacy, public administration, research methods, current affairs among others. This course also allows students to choose specialization in areas such as international relation, public administration, comparative studies of various political systems, etc.
Another requirement that is common when it comes to admission to an institution offering the BA in Political Science program is the passing of class 12th in any stream. However, there are some peer institutes that have their own admission tests for providing admission to the students while the rest of the colleges and universities in India take CUET, CLAT or some other tests conducted by individual state boards. In addition to the above ones, another opportunity available to students is direct admission AFTER 12TH through merit. The requirements in class 12th are normally set at an average of 50% for a candidate to be eligible for this course. In conclusion, some of the ways are CUET, CLAT, or 12th standard marks for admission in BA Political Science degree program are the legitimate ways for getting admission.
