BBA – Hospitality and Tourism is an undergraduate program which prepares trainees for the hospitality and tourism industry. The three-year program provides students with knowledge and practical skills in hotel and resort management, tourism management, event management, and other directions related to the hospitality industry. This includes hospitality laws and regulations, hotel operations, food production and F&B services, travel and tourism, hospitality accounting and marketing. Industrial training and internships are undertaken by students at various hotels, resorts or any other related business establishments.
The entrance tests that are accepted for admission to BBA (Hospitality and Tourism) are CET, CAT, MAT, ATMA, XAT and so on Some of the colleges also admit the candidates on the basis of their class 12th marks. In addition to this, institutes set up their own entrance examination or interview the candidates directly in order to select the deserving candidate for the program. It is also notable that most of the colleges do not offer direct admission through academic results achieved in the previous year. 1. They should have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from any recognized board/ university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
2. There is no maximum age but normally, students who join the program are below the age of 22 years.
3. English should be one of the subjects in 10+2 level must be the exact words that need to be written.
4. Although the institutions offering the course have their individual entrance tests, scores in certain examinations such as NCHMCT JEE are considered for admission.
