B.Com. in Banking and Insurance is a degree course that equips expertise in banking services, accounting and finance, economics, insurance, and financial markets. The 3-year degree course is equivalent to financial economics degree program that includes study areas such as finance, statistics, management, capital markets, risk management, banking regulations, etc. B.Com (Banking and Insurance) is available in the entrance of many of the top colleges and universities in India. The first criterion for program eligibility is attainment of 10+2 passed in commerce stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

It is possible to apply for one of the major entrance exams such as CUET, state exams, and national/test exams. Impactful dates comprise registrations for CUET from April 2nd to May 6th 2024; exam from May 21st to 31st 2023. Projected outcomes to be released between 23rd and 30th June 2024. Here it is important to mention that most colleges begin their admission processes after the declaration of the CUET result in June and end admissions in August for the course starting in July/August.

BCom Banking and Insurance Course Eligibility 2024

1. The candidate should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board with at least 50% marks. 

2. Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Economics/Accountancy/Statistics as one of the subjects at 10 + 2 level.

3. Some institutions may have their own entry exams while others open their gates for national or state level examination tests for admission.  

4. There is a concession in the minimum marks as per the dictated norms of the government for the reserved category students.

5. Applicants have to be English proficient to attend the program. 

6. It is also open to final year students who are still awaiting results, subject to eligibility requirement which is in place as soon as results are released.

BCom Banking and Insurance Entrance Exams

1. IIMs CAT: Common admission test for IIMs – tests verbal ability quantitative ability data interpretation and logical reasoning.

2. NPAT – Narses Morjee Program Admission Test is a test which is conducted by NMIMS University to test the quantitative ability & data interpretation skills and verbal ability. 

3. Common entrance test for admission in management courses – CMAT – Common Management Admission Test by AICTE – for testing quantitative techniques, logic, language and general awareness.

4. IIFT- Entrance exam organized by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade assesses quantitative skills, data interpretation, verbal ability and reading skills.

5. SNAP test is conducted by SIU – Symbiosis National Aptitude Test in India for admission to Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration and Master of Technology courses.

BCom Banking and Insurance Admission 2024

1. Senior secondary examination pass or higher secondary examination pass or pre-degree examination pass or a pass in 10+2 scheme of examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.

2. Eligible candidates can take the entrance exam such as SET/CUET as per the colleges to which they are applying. 

3. Search the eligibility of colleges which are desired.

4. Use filter to find a college and submit your application before application deadline by completing online/offline application and providing the necessary documents. 

5. Specialized group discussion and personal interviews by colleges are conducted for the students who have been shortlisted.

6. Receive admission completed through the scores received in the entrance test, the academic profile, and the performance in the interview done by the college.
