The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Investment Management is an undergraduate program that takes span of 3 academic years to complete and offers training on various areas of investment management and imparts skills that are essential to become an investment analyst or an investment manager. Some of the subjects are accounting, economics, investment, portfolio, security analysis and stock markets, etc. In these subjects, students study the theory and initiation of choosing good investment opportunities, managing investment portfolios, analyzing financial markets and companies for making sound investment decisions.
To join B.Com Investment Management course, the student should have passed standard 12th from the recognized board having subjects like Accountancy, Business studies and Economics. Acceptable test scores and exams differ from one college to the other and some of the national level tests include CUET, SET among others while others have their college tests. Some of the premier institutes such as Christ University, Symbiosis, and IIM Indore admit the students based on the scores achieved in the entrance test conducted by them and then take them through group discussion and personal interview to finally select the best students for the program.

1. Candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Indian university and board and must have obtained at least 50% of the aggregate marks.
2. Mathematics or Business Mathematics is expected by some universities at the 10+2 level.
3. There are certain Universities which require age constraints like maximum age up to 23 years for general category.
4. Some of the colleges may demand for skills in english language and this can be tested in IELTS/TOEFL and the likes.
5. In-depth interviews and minimum marks allowed in the entrance examination to shortlist the contenders.
6. It may also be noted that some institutes may prefer students based on their work experience in related vocational fields.

2. CMAT-Common Management Admission Test of AICTE for admission to Management Courses in AICTE affiliated colleges
3. NMIMS: NPAT (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) is a test for admission to NMIMS programs.
4. SNAP – Symbiosis National Aptitude test out for getting admission in Symbiosis institutes such as investment management.
5. XAT – Xavier Aptitude Test is conducted every year for admission to XLRI, Jamshedpur’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Human Resource Management and Business Management.
