Marketing is a field of commerce that deals with selling products or services to consumers, and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Marketing is an undergraduate business program that focuses on this area. This is a full time three year course that aims to equip the students with knowledge on consumer behavior, market research, brand management, digital marketing, advertising, sales, and retail management, among others. It will help in building the hopes of the students to become a good marketer in future by learning analysis skills, communication skills and to formulate strategies in the field of marketing.

The requirement for joining a B.Com (Marketing) course is passing your class 12 in any stream with appropriate combination of subjects and minimum percentage of marks. Several institutes conduct their own entry test, but there are some entrance tests at the national and state level that are highly acceptable. List of entrance exams includes – CAT, MAT, XAT, NPAT, ATMA, MET BBA, KMAT, CMAT, AMUEEE, BUMAT, JET, GUJCET, GUMAT, KMAT, MH-CET-B.Com.

BCom Marketing Course Eligibility 2024

1. Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board / University with minimum 50% total marks. 

2. Some universities prescribe Mathematics or Business Mathematics as compulsory subject at the level of 10+2.

3. The admission to the B.Com (Marketing) course depends on marks in the entrance examination conducted by some universities. 

4. Parents and students need to know that there is no age limit for admission in most of the colleges and universities.

5. Some institutes may give preference to those candidates with work experience in the field of marketing. 

6. English is compulsory since B.COM subjects and the concepts of marketing are taught in English only.

BCom Marketing Entrance Exams

1. SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) – A test that students sit for to gain admission to any of the Symbiosis institutes that offer B.Com programs or even the marketing specialty. 

2. CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) – A test taken to get admission for the UG courses including B. Com in central universities like JMI, AMU, etc. 

3. IP University BBA/B.Com Entrance – This examination is also known as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test for admission to B.Com and BBA programs. 

4. DU JAT –Joint Admission Test which is conducted by Delhi University for offering BMS, BBA and B.Com programs. Measures arithmetic skills, logic skills and verbal skills. 

5. Christ University B.Com Entrance – Is a test that aims at evaluating the aptitude, logical reasoning and language abilities of candidates seeking to pursue the various B.Com programs offered at Christ University, Bangalore.
