Building & Infrastructure is an undergraduate design course which takes a span of 4 years and the full form of B.Des is Bachelor of Design in Building & Infrastructure This course is especially designed to create architects who are specialized in the aspects of planning and constructing many buildings and urban infrastructural projects. The course entails a number of aspects ranging from architectural design to building and construction technology, environmental design, landscape design, urban planning as well as infrastructure design.
The standard entrance examinations that one is required to take to be admitted into the B.Des (Building & Infrastructure) course in various institutions include the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED), the National Institute of Design Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT), the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED), and sometimes state/institution level tests. Some colleges also use class 12 scores for the admission process provided the student has taken Mathematics and has studied subjects such as physics, computer science.
