Environmental Design is a four years undergraduate program that offers Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and the program addresses how to design environments in an efficient manner and in the process of doing this, minimum usage of resources from the natural environment is used. They get knowledge in climate adaptive architecture, ecological landscaping, conservation of ecosystems, proper waste and water handling, renewable power sources.
The entrance exams that are considered for the admission to B.Des Environmental Design course are NID DAT, UCEED, NIFT, CEED, SOFT CET, UPSEE. Some of the institutes offering B.Des Environmental Design are SPA Delhi, School of Planning and Architecture Bhopal, Vijayawada where apart from the aptitude test they conduct a written test and interview for the students. The entrance tests for these courses are based on 10+2 examination and the compulsory subjects include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

1. Minimum 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination in any stream.
