Fashion Management is an Undergraduate level course under Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and it deals with all the business and creative aspects of the fashion industry. It includes the four-year curriculum on the subjects and areas like garment construction, pattern making, design, buying and merchandising, retail management, supply chain management, brand management, styling, and fashion forecasting.
Accepted Entrance Exams for Design Colleges offering B.Des in Fashion Management includes the entrance exam of National Institute of Design (NID), Under Graduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) by IITs, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance examination and other entrance examination conducted by state and other Universities. Further, some colleges may also adopt the performance in the class 12 board exams or aptitude tests scores for the admission process.

1. Candidate must be 10+2 pass in any stream namely Science, Commerce or Arts with min. 50% marks in aggregate.
2. A qualifying entrance exam such as NIFT or any other institute providing fashion design course. Many colleges do offer direct admissions on the basis of percentages obtained in 10+2 examination.
3. It is also important to note that there is no requirement as to the age limit per which one can take admission in this course.
4. 10+2 exam cleared candidates can also apply but it is mandatory to show the proof of passing 10+2 exam by the October.
5. IELTS, TOEFL like tests also are required for the international candidates for fulfilling the English proficiency norms.
6. They also allow some experience in fields related to creative arts for candidates aspiring to be admitted.
