B.Design mobility is an undergraduate course in design that specializes in automotive and transportation design. This is a full-time program that takes four years to complete and allows for the training in designing vehicles such as automobiles, buses, trucks, motorcycles amongst others. Students learn the concept of product design and how mobility products are designed with concepts such as ergonomics, visualization, and modeling to ensure the products have aesthetic value, feasible for manufacturing and should exhibit the brand’s identity.
The entrance tests which are acceptable for admission in B.Des Mobility program are NID DAT CEED UCEED along with the tests conducted by the various design colleges and universities. NID DAT carried out by National Institute of Design which aims to examine the candidate’s drawing skill, perceptive aptitude, creativity and observational skills. The Common Admission Test in Engineering Design or CEED that is conducted by IIT Bombay and UCEED that is conducted by IIT Guwahati, assess design skills and coherent logical thinking.
