Bachelor of Design (B.Des) is an undergraduate degree in design that specializes in providing knowledge in Product Design. The program offered at the university is a four-year full-time program which gives a base on ideas such as design methodology, design theory, design material and manufacturing processes among others enabling students to design consumer products and appliances.
The B.Des Product Design course takes most of the students four years to complete, with the course spread across eight semesters. Other institutes also provide the course to be completed in three years with two semesters in one year. The commonly accepted entrance exams for admission to this course are: UCEED, NEET, NID, CET and other aptitude and creative ability test conducted at Institutes level based on creative, designing and visualization ability.

1. Candidates should have passed in 10+2 from any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts) obtaining not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
2. UCEED, NID DAT, CEED, NIFT, etc are the admission tests for corresponding colleges Some institutes have their own entrance tests.
3. As for the UCEED – Mathematics is compulsory for all candidates at the 10+2 level. For NID – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are compulsion in 10+2.
4. There is no limit as to the age of individuals that can be treated for the disorder. There are no restrictions on the age of the candidates, although it is preferred if they are young.
5. Candidates from an International school should have passed 12 years of schooling or any equivalent examination with minimum 50% of marks.
6. Semifinal round some colleges include personal interview round, portfolio presentation before admission.
