B.Des in Knitwear Design course is a offered to students to gain knowledge in knitwear and knitted fabrics. This 4-year degree program entails areas of specialization in knitwear design such as the knitwear manufacturing process, yarns used in this industry, computer aided design, designing and cutting of garments, garment construction, fashion and business of fashion. Knowledge is imparted and skills are acquired regarding design and development of the dynamics knitwear collection. The curriculum fosters innovation and creativity while cultivating positive technical development. During the 4 years students learn and engage in industry practices, manage textile companies, develop portfolios of knitwear and demonstrate their creativeness during fashion weeks.
NID and UCEED are the admitted entrance exams for the B.Des Knitwear Design course at the college. Institutes may also base admission on class 12 results where they are acceptable for that classification. Moreover, an aptitude test and a personal interview to establish creative ability, problem solving skills and aptitude for knither fashion career have to be passed. Knowledge of English is an added advantage as the medium of instruction is in English.

1. The candidate must have passed +2 examination from any recognized board or council in any stream: Science, Commerce or Arts securing a minimum of 50% marks.
