B.Ed Physics is a two years’ duration program in Physics teaching that targets preparing teachers for teaching Physics at the secondary and higher-secondary levels. Thus, the curriculum encompasses understanding of physics concepts and how to teach them to students, which is essential for making effective physics lessons. Some of the key areas of study in this course include mechanics, electromagnetism, modern physics, electronics, thermodynamics, mathematical physics, educational psychology, teaching skills, and communication.

The major entrance exams accepted for admission into B.Ed (Physics) program are: Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the CBSE, state level eligibility test conducted by state education Boards, B.Ed. Joint Entrance Exam organized by different participating universities and B.Ed. Centralized Test: Common Entrance Test conducted at state level or by individual colleges and universities.

BEd Physics Course Eligibility 2024

1. A pass in the post graduate degree in Physics or any other related subject such as Maths or chemistry with at least 50% marks from a recognised university.  

2. For reserve category students, minimum 45% marks in graduation are required.

3. Original score in entrance test like State TET or CTET to seek admission to B.Ed colleges.  

4. There may be additional tests or interviews for screening to see proficiency in the subjects, aptitude, and interpersonal skills in some colleges.

5. Sound knowledge regarding the subjects of Physics and aptitude to impart lessons pertinent to senior secondary classes.

6. A very strong passion towards the teaching of Physics and willingness to work hard to become a good teacher.
