Bachelor of Fashion Merchandising is an undergraduate program that will span over three years and is going to cover business as well as creative aspects of fashion. Students are exposed to the information within the subject area of textiles, manufacturing and buying, merchandising and branding, visual merchandising, retailing, supply chain and consumer behaviour, marketing, accounting, and fashion entrepreneurship. The program combines a theoretical approach with an internship and a tour of different companies and industries.
Accepted national entrance exam scores for admission into the Bachelor of Fashion Merchandising program are NIFT, NID, CEED, UCEED, FDDI AIST, SOFT CET, UPSEE, WBJEE, OJEE, and Uni GAUGE. Some colleges also take class 12th marks in combination with the other tests, which they conduct or interviews. The basic requirement to apply is at least passing class 12th in any stream for majority of the colleges.
