Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Science (BNYS) is an undergraduate course comprising 5.5 years of a degree course in the field of ayurvedic science. It combines conventional medical system with traditional Indian herbal systems including Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy and other Indian systems of medicine. The program offers enhanced understanding of positive health, laws that govern body systems, healing modalities, diagnosing processes, and curative and preventive practices. Internship is in the later years students are provided with practical clinical training in the school.
The entrance examinations for the admission to the BNYS course are NEET UG, AIAPGET which is an All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test, UPSC National Eligibility Entrance Test, IPU CET of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test and state entrance exams such as OJEE odisha joint entrance examination. The candidates who have passed class 12 in science, with a minimum 50% aggregate mark, can apply. For selection of candidates into few places for colleges, some colleges set their own qualifying written examinations and interviews.

1. Candidates should possess 10+2 or equivalent examinations passed from a recognized board with the condition that the candidate should have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects. Candidates from Science, commerce as well as arts stream can apply for the program.
2. Minimum required marks in 10 + 2 standard is 50% for general category and the students belonging to the SC/ST category need 40% marks. It is also important to note that there may be certain cut-offs in colleges that the candidates have to meet.
3. Even those students who are going to take their 10+2 board exams can also apply for the examination in a provisional basis. However, it is important to note that their admission will only be deemed complete if they submit their final mark sheets before a particular date.
4. The entrance examination is a common method of admission, but some colleges have their entrance test and some admit students on merit basis of the qualifying examination. The concepts tested are Physics, Chemistry and Biology of the 10+2 standard in case of the entrance examinations.
5. Age limit of a candidate is seventeen years as on a specified date according to the norms of the university. Age can be restricted to below 25 years of age.
6. This course requires learners to be physically fit in order to undertake the program. In case students wish to be exempted from physical activities or when undergoing their college studies, they may need a medical report.
