B.Sc stands for Bachelor of Science, and it is a type of undergraduate honours bachelor’s degree program that takes 3 years to complete normally. A B.Sc degree deals with sectors of natural science like physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, statics etc Some of the most popular B.Sc courses are B.Sc in physics, Chemistry, computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology. The B.Sc degree usually take 3 years in total, split into 6 semesters, but it may take 4 years or 5 years of integrated learning.
Top B.Sc have different entrance exams through which the student needs to pass in order to get the admission in colleges and Universities of India. Other well-known tests are JEE Mains, AMUEEE, BHU UET, CUET for Central Universities and many others state level tests conducted by different states. Several excellent colleges also look at the aggregate of a student’s 12th board examination for B.Sc admissions. For instance, a few institutes such as IISc, TIFR conduct their own entrance exams while most IITs offer the B.Sc programs based on the JEE Advanced rank alone.

1. A candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board / University / College with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
2. Minimum aggregate marks range from 45%-60% depending on the college or university of the applicant’s choice.
3. Some of the colleges still conduct entrance examinations for ones who wish to be admitted into their institutions. Cut-offs vary.
4. Minimum age is 17 years but it can go higher depending on the college of your choice and some will allow you to enroll even when you are above 60 years old.
5. As per the existing norms of the government, students belonging to the reserved category have certain concessions in the eligibility criteria.
6. Other requirements such as aptitude tests may be considered especially for those who are applying for the second option of specialized B.Sc programs like Microbiology.
