Aquacultural business Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Aquaculture) is an undergraduate degree program that deals with the farming of different aquatic organisms which are fishes, crustaceans, molluscs, and aquatic plants. This is a 3 years degree programme that involves topics such as: Aquaculture production systems; Aquatic Ecology; Fish Nutrition; Water quality management; Fish Pathology; Genetics and breeding; Economics of aquaculture; Hatchery management. The students are familiarized with various culture techniques, farm layout, ration preparation and also handling and maintenance of technical intensive systems. They also develop an understanding of sustainable aquaculture as well as the policies involved.
The NEET-UG, AIEEE, JEE main and other state level entrance examinations are considered the normal entry assessments to the B.Sc Aquaculture program. As for the admission procedure some of the given colleges may also use the class 12th scores for the entrance. Candidates who passed 12th standard from the PCB Stream and Biology as the main subject are eligible to apply. Ideal contenders perform creditably well in Biology and have a basic understanding of sciences associated with water systems and aquatic beings. English is also considered as a factor in some examinations that are administered during admissions process.
