Forestry is an undergraduate program that takes 3 to 4 years to complete and is offered as B.Sc (Forestry). Scientific forestry as a field includes topics such as forest ecology, conservation, silviculture, watershed and wildlife management, environmental studies. Students get to study about the different tree species, methods of raising a nursery, social forestry and agroforestry, use of forest products and even the medicinal values of plants among other things.
The entrance exams being considered for admission to B.Sc (Forestry) include AP EAMCET, TS EAMCET, OUAT exam, Kerala entrance exam. some of the premier institutions providing B.Sc Forestry are Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Forest Research Institute (FRI) University and Indian Council for Forestry Research and Education by which they accept the scores in CAT, MAT, XAT, AT Apart form eligibility criteria the good scores in relevant entrance test are essential to get admission.

1. H.S.C passed in science stream having Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the group subjects.
2. The student should be having minimum 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination for the general category students.

4. It is mandatory that English should be one of the subjects that is studied in 10+2 level.
