B.Sc (Photography) is an undergraduate program that takes 3 years to complete and aims at offering knowledge on various aspects of photography. In this program, students study photographic methods, the camera, editing, post processing using modern software, lighting, storytelling. Other courses include a basic understanding of arts, imaging sciences, journalism, and design. In the final year, some institutes provide specialization in fashion, wildlife or commercial photography.
CUET, JEE Mains, UCEED, NATA and few other national level entrance exams are accepted for admission to the college. Most colleges also take into consideration the marks scored in class 12th especially if one has taken photography or arts streams. Some institutes, however, have their own entrance tests to assess the skills and creativity through photographic exercises and interviews. International applicants may also apply through tests such as IELTS/TOEFL scores in addition to portfolio of photographs taken.
