Diploma in Electrical Engineering is a diploma level course which is completed in 3 years and is related to the electrical field. This program offers specialized courses in fields such as electrical machines, power systems, control systems and distribution of electrical power, utilization of electrical energy, electrical installation, circuit theory and much more. The students learn how to design, install, maintain and even repair electrical wiring, motors, transformers and many more. The course is offered for six semesters with each semester being of six months and internship being a part of the course.
JEECUP(Joint Entrance Examination Council UP), CET(Common Entrance Test), and Lateral Entry for ITI/Diploma holders are some of the important entrance examination needed for getting into Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Some dates are: JEECUP conducted in the last week of April, the CET exam date are different from one state to another which ranges from April to June, the application forms are available in February to March every year. Lateral admissions are made in the second year of B.E./B.Tech through upper division marks of the qualifying examination. Most schools recruit students during the course of July-August and term starts in late August or early September.
