Agricultural Engineering Diploma- Polytechnic is a course that takes three years to complete and aims at applying engineering principles in the field of agriculture. Pupils gain knowledge on farm power and machinery, soil and water conservation engineering, irrigation and drainage engineering, post harvest operations and structures. Some of the significant theoretical subjects are general engineering courses, agricultural science and other subjects, drawing and shop courses, and several hours of practical training.
The diploma programs in engineering which is offered by different polytechnic institutes of the country involve the scores of National and state level entrance examinations for the admission. The main exams include JEE Main, Some state level Polytechnic CET and AIPET conducted by CBSE, PAT conducted by Technical Education Board and some other institutes allow direct admission from class 10th & 12th. 1. Minimum of 50% marks in Science and Mathematics in the 10th standard or its equivalent examination.
