Diploma in Fashion Merchandising is a one to two year diploma level program that focuses on training in fashion merchandising and other related courses like retail management, textiles, apparel manufacturing and other interpersonal skills for fashion Industry. The curriculum entails the study of trends, product designs, merchandising strategies, maintaining inventory, presentation, distribution, promotion, and selling strategies. The program length ranges from 6 months to 2 years depending on the course of study and the specific institute offering the program.
The only previous qualifications recognized for entry into the Diploma in Fashion Merchandising course are class 10th and 12th public examinations. It is also seen some institutes taking into account the candidate’s performance in national/state level examinations and in personal interviews while admitting students along with their high school percentage.

4. NATA: NATA which stands for National Aptitude Test in Architecture includes testing graphic perception and drawing Aptitude, Observation skills, Quantitative Ability and Aesthetic Sensitivity.
5. UCEED: Scholastic Aptitude Test for undergraduate common entrance examination for design is a test of creativity and intellect in graphic and visual arts.
