The Diploma in Garments and Fashion Technology is one-year to two- year diploma level programme associated with the garment and fashion sector. This course gives training in several aspects such as pattern making, draping, sewing, cutting, production management, quality control, fashion designing. Which pertains to garment manufacturing. 1. Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination form any board with at least 50% of marks in any stream.
2. The students having 10+2 exam appearance can also apply for provisional admission provided they are fulfilling the minimum marks requirements.
3. There is no restriction on the age of students to admit them in this course. There is no restriction regarding the qualification; both freshers who have done 10+2 and those who are employed can apply.
4. The candidates must have some knowledge about sewing, stitching, pattern making. The few of the institutes may also hold some competitive examination for this.
5. Students’ fluency in English is deemed necessary since most of the courses are taught in English.
6. There are cases where candidates will be asked to produce their documents of relevance and undergo physical examinations that meet the standard for fashion appropriate bodies.
