Diploma in Housing Laws is one year diploma course and it is designed to equip the students with adequate knowledge about the various housing and property laws in the country – India. Some of the matters of interest include the ownership rights of properties, rental legislation, documentation of property, regulation of real estate, consumer protection for people buying homes, and procedures for dealing with property disputes. Students are introduced with relevant acts and statutes within the field of housing. The program prepares students for practice in Law firms, Real estate companies and housing societies as legal consultants.

The Diploma in Housing Laws program does not require any entrance examination for qualifying the students. Applicants who are pass out in 10+2 from any recognized stream are eligible for the course. It is based on the candidate’s 10+2 standard pass percentage and the merit list the contenders are offered admissions. Besides, this course can also be pursued by those students who have secured their bachelor’s degree in any field of their choice.

Diploma in Housing Laws Course Eligibility

1. Three years bachelors degree in any faculty from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks.  

2. Only final year students of bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply for the course.

3. This is so because the course admits students without considering the scores they obtained in the bar exam or their experience.  

4. It should be noted that the course is available for students with legal education as well as for the students who have never studied law before.  

5. Sometimes there might be separate entrance test or an interview before granting final admission into an institute.

6. This could be by providing TOEFL scores or IELTS scores or any other test that might have been conducted to determine the applicants’ English language proficiency especially for those applying from non-English speaking countries.
