Diploma in Language is an under graduate diploma course that takes 1 to 2 years of students’ time whereby students are trained in foreign languages. The primary idea of this course is to establish the interaction with the foreign language and to practice it in the communication with other people learning the languages such as French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese. The duration for a Diploma is usually 1 year and that for an Advanced Diploma is 2 years. Institute also provide some intensive 6 months diploma courses for students some students also take admission in these courses.
The criteria for admission to the Diploma in Foreign Language courses is the successful completion of 10+2 of any stream. Since language aptitude is an important parameter in learning, some institutes have their own tests to determine the proficiency of an applicant. Other certificates such as TOEFL and IELTS are also acceptable to obtain an admission in some colleges.

1. Candidate should be passed 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board passing with minimum of 50% marks.
