Diploma in Medical Lab Technology is an Off campus diploma level course in the field of lab medicine. This course offers an education on different tests and procedures that are performed in a laboratory to aid in diagnosis, management, and control of diseases. The duration of the diploma course is of two years; which consist of lectures, and practical’s in laboratories and hospitals.
The least entry criteria to practice for the diploma course are the twelfth standard pass in the science group with subjects like biology, physics and chemistry. There are several entrance examinations well recognized by the colleges and institutes that provide this course such as All India Medical Lab Technician Entrance Test, BCECE, RUHS, JCECE, CEE of Assam and there are some of the institutes which select the candidates directly on the basis of their 12th standard marks or they also conduct their own entrance examination.

1. Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination in science group with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have obtained 50% marks at least from any recognized board to apply.
2. Candidate should be minimum 17 years of age on 31st December of the admission year. Again, there is no upper limit to the age of the child and this has been the case in so many families.
3. Should have studied English as a subject in 10+2 should have passed the subject of English at 10+2 level.
